Define the Seasonal Display Scope
A project may include rooflines, eaves, entries, columns, trees, shrubs or selected commercial frontage. The display should be planned by area so the customer knows what is included and where the visual emphasis will be.

Customer-Supplied and Provider-Supplied Lighting Need Different Decisions
If the customer supplies lights, the equipment should be complete, working and suitable for the location. Provider-supplied systems, if part of an accepted project, need their own product and reuse terms. FL-GoodHome does not publish a default ownership or storage model that has not been approved for the specific service.
The scope should state who supplies lights, timers, extension components and replacement bulbs where relevant.
Attachment Should Protect the Building Surface
Clips and attachment methods should be selected for the specific roofline, gutter, trim or landscape location. Drilling or permanent modification should not be assumed for a temporary display. Fragile roofing, loose gutters or damaged trim can make a planned attachment location unsuitable.
High or complex access should also be reviewed before installation is scheduled.
Power and Timer Planning Has Electrical Boundaries
Seasonal lighting needs suitable existing power and a layout that does not overload circuits. FL-GoodHome does not claim licensed electrical modification through this page. New receptacles, circuit changes or other regulated electrical work should be handled by the appropriate qualified trade.
If the customer wants a year-round installed system rather than seasonal lights, see Permanent Outdoor Lighting Installation.
Installation, In-Season Service and Removal Should Be Defined Separately
A seasonal display has a beginning and an end. Installation, troubleshooting during the season and removal can each be included or excluded depending on the agreement. The scope should say what support is part of the service rather than imply unlimited seasonal maintenance.
Weather or access conditions can affect the timing of work.
Storage and Reuse Need an Ownership Plan
After removal, lights may be returned to the owner, stored by the owner or handled under another separately agreed arrangement. No storage service is promised unless it is explicitly part of the project. Labeling reusable components can make future seasonal setup easier.
Seasonal vs. Permanent Outdoor Lighting
Holiday lights are temporary and event-driven. Outdoor Lighting Installation and permanent outdoor-lighting systems serve year-round illumination and have different wiring, fixture and regulatory considerations.
